Mobile phone technology

A mobile phone was originally intended to send and receive calls, also sending and receiving SMS. Now phones are much more capable of doing more than that due to the popularity of the smart phone. The smart-phone changed how phones are seen as you're now able to easily connect to the internet, watch videos, record videos and play games. Smart phones have become so popular over the past few years, especially with the release of the iPhone from Apple, and the reason for this popularity is because people use smart phones because they don't have to only use them for calls and texts but to surf the Internet and go on social networks, much like what they would do on their computers at home. As a result of advancement in technologies, the smartphone has become very small, which means you are able to take it everywhere with you, this makes it very useful for work as you are able to send and receive emails wherever you are, it acts as a portable computer.

Mobile phones have changed massively through the years as technology changes, but in the past they were basic and only really used to perform basic tasks when compared to modern phones. some older phones had the ability  to play games on their phone, but they were very simple in order to run on such old technology. Then flip phone came into the market which meant people were able to have larger screens and still be able to fit it in their pocket easily, which on today's phones we have no problem doing because of the touch screen, the touch screen means that the phone doesn't need to have a keyboard, it's essentially just one large screen, navigating the phone was made much easier because of this. What made Apple's iPhone so popular was the amount of apps available to the user, there was an app for almost anything, and so this gave incentive to anyone as it wasn't just a phone, but a very useful multi-tool as well.
